TSB deploys a team to Les Méchins, Quebec, following an incident involving the chemical tanker Kivalliq W

Québec, Quebec, 23 November 2022 — The Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) is deploying a team of investigators to Les Méchins, Quebec. On 18 October 2022 the chemical tanker Kivalliq W that made contact with the seafloor and was subsequently cleared to sail to Les Méchins to be dry-docked. The TSB will continue to gather information and assess the occurrence.
