The Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) is deploying today a team of investigators to Mill Bay, British Columbia (BC), to investigate the sinking of a tug near Wreck Beach, BC, on 23 October, that resulted in one fatality. The TSB will gather additional information from the vessel.
The TSB is an independent agency that investigates air, marine, pipeline, and rail transportation occurrences. Its sole aim is the advancement of transportation safety. It is not the function of the Board to assign fault or determine civil or criminal liability.
