The occurrence
On 09 September 2018, a crew member of the passenger vessel Amadea was seriously injured while stowing lifeboat No. 4 after a regular lifeboat drill. At the time of the occurrence, the Amadea was berthed at section No. 21 in the port of Québec, Quebec. The injured crew member was transported to a local hospital by ambulance.

The occurrence
On 1 December 2018, the lobster fishing vessel Charlene A., with 4 people on board, sank near Boutiliers Cove, St. Margaret's Bay, Nova Scotia. The crew on the vessel were wearing lifejackets and were rescued by the fishing vessel Double Maw. The Charlene A. was later recovered and taken to shore.

The occurrence
On at about 0500 Atlantic Daylight Time, the 11.5 m fishing vessel Kyla Anne with 3 people on board, departed the dock at Judes Point for a lobster fishing trip on the western side of North Cape, Prince Edward Island (PEI) in light winds and seas. A vessel similar to the Kyla Anne is shown in Figure 1.The crew began hauling their traps at about 0645, and by around noon the wind had picked up to 25–30 knots from the north-northeast.

The occurrence
On 09 June 2018, the 13 m fishing vessel Forever Chasin' Tail, with 3 people on board, departed Beach Point, Prince Edward Island, to recover lobster traps approximately 14 nautical miles (nm) to the east. Later that morning, the 11 m fishing vessel Joel '98, with 5 people on board, also departed Beach Point to recover lobster traps approximately 6 nm to the south east.

On , the container ship Oakland Express, under conduct of a pilot, struck the shore gantry crane while berthing at Fraser Surrey Dock, British Columbia. The vessel and crane sustained minor damage. There were no injuries.

The occurrence
On 23 August 2019, the 7.6 m charter vessel C29132BC, known as the Daily Double (Figure 1) departed Lizzie Cove, British Columbia, with 6 people on board: the master and a family of 5. The vessel, a Bayliner/Trophy style, was returning to Bella Coola, British Columbia, following a 3-day eco-tourism excursion.
