On at 0310 Newfoundland Daylight Time, a crew member on the fishing vessel Suvak went overboard while setting gillnets in Davis Strait, approximately 120 nautical miles northeast of Qikiqtarjuaq, Nunavut.

The occurrence
In the morning of , the fishing vessel Island Lady departed for the fishing grounds with 2 people on board. In the early evening, other harvesters were unable to contact the Island Lady. A local search began, joined shortly afterwards by Marine Communications and Traffic Services (MCTS) of Labrador and the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre (JRCC) resources.

On 09 January 2022, the chief mate on the roll-on/roll-off ferry Madeleine II was fatally injured during a mooring accident while the ferry was docking at wharf No. 2 in the Cap-aux-Meules harbour, Quebec. There was no damage to the vessel, and no pollution was reported.

On at 10:28 Pacific Time, Rocky Pass, a water taxi with four passengers and one pilot on board, was reported to have run aground in Coomes Bank, British Columbia. First responders evacuated those aboard, including four injured passengers, and towed the vessel to Tofino, British Columbia.

Just after 2351 Atlantic Standard Time on 11 March 2022, 87.5 nautical miles southeast of Canso, Nova Scotia, the master of the fishing vessel Mucktown Girl reported to the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia, that the vessel was having electrical problems.

The occurrence
On the morning of 22 July 2022, at 1106 (ADT), a fire was declared in the main engine room of the passenger and vehicle ferry Holiday Island, which was on its second voyage that day.
Shortly after the fire was detected, the engines were shut down and the vessel was beached on a nearby sandbar, with both anchors deployed. The vessel’s fixed carbon dioxide (CO2) fire-smothering system was released.

The occurrence
On , the passenger and vehicle ferry Confederation, with 217 passengers on board, sustained a rudder failure and grounded while leaving Caribou, Nova Scotia. The vessel refloated and, with the assistance of the Canadian Coast Guard Cutter Cape Spry, returned to the dock in Caribou.

The occurrence
On 20 August 2022, at around 1700 Eastern Daylight Time, the passenger ferry Sam McBride, with 6 crew members and approximately 910 passengers on board, struck the dock while berthing at the Jack Layton Ferry Terminal in Toronto, Ontario. Twenty passengers were reported injured. Emergency services responded to the occurrence and 6 of the injured passengers were taken to hospital. The vessel and dock sustained damage. No pollution was reported.
