Investigation report: April 2018 brake failure and ground collision in Winnipeg, Manitoba
Today, the Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) released its investigation report (A18C0018) on the April 2018 brake failure of a privately operated Cessna Citation Bravo 550 aircraft that then collided with a Morningstar Partners Ltd. Bombardier CL-600-2B16 aircraft, at Winnipeg/James Armstrong Richardson International Airport, Manitoba.
The TSB conducted a limited-scope, fact-gathering investigation into this occurrence to advance transportation safety through greater awareness of potential safety issues.
The TSB is an independent agency that investigates air, marine, pipeline, and rail transportation occurrences. Its sole aim is the advancement of transportation safety. It is not the function of the Board to assign fault or determine civil or criminal liability.
