Investigation report: December 2019 collision with terrain of an aircraft in Gabriola Island, British Columbia

Richmond, British Columbia, 27 July 2020 — Today, the Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) released its investigation report (A19P0176) into the 10 December 2019 loss of control and collision with terrain of a privately registered Piper Aerostar PA-60-602P aircraft in Gabriola Island, British Columbia.

The TSB conducted a limited-scope, fact-gathering investigation into this occurrence to advance transportation safety through greater awareness of potential safety issues.
