Investigation report: July 2018 main-track derailment near Stirling, Alberta

Today, the Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) released its investigation report (R18C0076) on the main-track derailment that occurred near Stirling, Alberta, in July 2018.

The TSB conducted a limited-scope, fact-gathering investigation into this occurrence to advance transportation safety through greater awareness of potential safety issues.
