Investigation report: August 2019 main-track derailment in Irvine, Alberta

Calgary, Alberta, 21 August 2020 — Today, the Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) released its investigation report (R19C0088) into the 2 August 2019 main-track derailment of a Canadian Pacific Railway train in Irvine, Alberta.

The TSB conducted a limited-scope, fact-gathering investigation into this occurrence to advance transportation safety through greater awareness of potential safety issues.
