The occurrence
On 24 September 2019, the E & B Helicopters Ltd. Bell 206B helicopter (registration C-GEBY, serial number 3375) was conducting a visual flight rules flight from the operator's base at Campbell River (E & B Heli) Heliport (CCR6) in Campbell River, British Columbia, to Moat Lake, British Columbia, with only the pilot on board.

A Piper PA-60-602P aircraft was on a private/pleasure flight from Eastern Sierra Regional Airport (KBIH) in Bishop, California to Nanaimo Airport, British Columbia (CYCD). While on an instrument approach to Nanaimo Airport, the aircraft collided with terrain on Gabriola Island, British Columbia. All 3 people aboard were fatally injured.

On , a privately operated Piper PA18-150 aircraft (registration C-GGVC, serial number 18-7609024X) was conducting a local flight near a farm 25 nautical miles east of Camrose (CEQ3), Alberta. The aircraft had arrived at the farm earlier in the afternoon and picked up a passenger for a short flight.

The occurrence
On 21 December 2019, a privately-operated Cessna 172H was conducting a flight northwest of Tofino, British Columbia. The aircraft was declared missing after failing to return to the Courtenay Airpark as expected. The destroyed aircraft was found on 22 December 2019 in a remote location near Sydney Inlet Provincial Park, British Columbia, approximately 24 nautical miles northwest of Tofino, British Columbia. The pilot was the lone person on board and was fatally injured.
