Rail transportation safety investigation R19D0117
The occurrence
On , Central Maine & Quebec (CMQ) train 630 was proceeding westward at 16 mph when six cars derailed at mile 104 on the Sherbrooke Subdivision, near West Bolton, Quebec. The six cars that derailed included three boxcars loaded with paper, and three centre beam flat cars loaded with lumber. No injuries were reported, and no dangerous goods were involved.

The occurrence
On , a Canadian Pacific Railway train proceeding eastbound struck the tail end of a Kenora Transit bus that was foul of the public crossing at Mile 3.15 of the Keewatin Subdivision. No derailment was reported. No injuries were reported. The bus sustained heavy damage.

The occurrence
On 7 January 2020, a Canadian National train derailed at Mile 70 of the Bulkley Subdivision while travelling westward at 35 mph. Initial examination revealed 33 cars loaded with wood products derailed in an accordion fashion. No injuries reported and no dangerous goods were involved.
