The occurrence
On , at 0607 Pacific Standard Time, Canadian National train Q19771-09, travelling westward at approximately 32 miles per hour, derailed 1 locomotive and 8 intermodal flat cars consisting of 17 platforms at Mile 48.41 of the Skeena Subdivision. No injuries were reported and no dangerous goods were involved.

The occurrence
On , at approximately 0410 Eastern Daylight Time, while proceeding eastward at 60 miles per hour, approaching Brockville, Ontario, Canadian National freight train M-310-31-09 derailed 26 cars at Mile 127.52 on the Kingston Subdivision. The derailed cars included 13 residue tank cars which last contained aviation fuel (UN1863). A small amount of product was released. There were no injuries.

The occurrence
On , at approximately 1735 Eastern Standard Time, passenger train P60321-05, travelling westward, struck a northbound vehicle at a private crossing at Mile 120.18 of the St-Maurice Subdivision. One of the vehicle occupants was fatally injured, two others were seriously injured and another sustained minor injuries.

The occurrence
On 11 June 2014, at 1530 Mountain Daylight Time, eastbound Canadian National freight train A41851-11 derailed the last 20 cars at Mile 202.3 of the Slave Lake Subdivision in Faust, Alberta. The last 17 cars were residue tank cars that had last carried diesel fuel (UN 1202). There was no release of product and there were no injuries. Approximately 1200 feet of track was damaged.

The occurrence
On 23 February 2014, a Canadian National yard assignment, controlled by a remote control locomotive, was travelling with 25 loaded cars on the “freight track” service track of the Montreal Subdivision in Montréal, Quebec. At about 0005, the yard assignment passed a stop signal and collided with train Q12111-21, which was travelling on the north track. Both trains, as well as the tracks they were travelling on, were damaged. There were no injuries.
