On 29 August 2024, a Viking DHC-2 Beaver floatplane operated by Simpson Air was on a visual flight rules flight from Rabbitkettle Lake, Northwest Territories, to Fort Simpson Island Water Aerodrome, Northwest Territories, with 1 pilot and 2 passengers on board.
On 04 September 2024, a Beech King Air A100 operated by Propair Inc. was conducting an instrument flight rules medical evacuation flight from Wemindji Airport, Quebec, to Chisasibi Airport, Quebec, with 2 crew members and 3 passengers on board.
On 19 July 2024, an Ayres S2R-R1340 aircraft operated by Precision West Ag Corporation departed Rosetown Aerodrome, Saskatchewan, to conduct an aerial application flight over a field near Birsay, Saskatchewan.
After the first application pass of the field, the aircraft collided with the flat terrain, resulting in significant damage to the aircraft. There was no post-impact fire, and the emergency locator transmitter activated.
On 13 April 2024, a Bombardier Inc. DHC-8-402 aircraft, operated by WestJet Encore Ltd., was on a flight from Fort McMurray Airport, Alberta, to Calgary International Airport, Alberta.
Upon landing, the aircraft’s tail contacted the runway, resulting in a “TOUCHED RUNWAY” annunciation in the cockpit. The aircraft taxied to the gate, the passengers were deplaned, and the baggage was unloaded as normal. No injuries were reported.
On 09 August 2024, a Cessna 337H operated by Sasair Inc. was conducting a visual flight rules flight from Deer Lake Airport, Newfoundland and Labrador, to Sydney/J.A. Douglas McCurdy Airport, Nova Scotia, with 1 pilot and 3 passengers on board. The aircraft departed shortly after another company aircraft that was also heading to Nova Scotia.
On 18 August 2024, a privately registered Airbus AS350 B2 helicopter was conducting a visual flight rules flight from a private property in Mirabel (Quebec) to Launay (Quebec) with 1 pilot and 2 passengers on board.
